Action of the students

The basic expectation of school is that the learners have responsible action that initiated by the students as the result of the learning process. Every range of age produce different act so that the school has to challenge to give students opportunities to involve in action by choosing the act, then reflect their action in order to make difference in their daily life (world). The students have to responsible and participate in their own learning but the teacher responsible to enable student to CHOOSE the action, be facilitator of students ACTION, and help students REFLECT the action. Reflection is the important part that shows students responsible to their own learning.

The action can be individually or grouping by students collaboratively. Action can be a service to other students, community in and outside of school. Action can be start from the little things in own self and surrounding. By this action the students are able to grow personally, socially and developing their skills. Action can be the way to assess the students.•

Some guide and example for implementing of effective action:
o Should be modeled by the adults: teacher giving food and taking care of the turtle in the classroom.
o Should be voluntary and involve students to practice their initiative : feeding the turtle every day in classroom.
o Is grounded of students experiences : students are more caring with their pets at home.
o Is most beneficial to students when there is witness of their action: when students remain the teacher to giving food for the turtle when it is the time, then the teacher tell the students that it is the good action. During students conversation when playing or reading book together.
o Usually begin in a small way and rise from the concern or commitment :students ask families to c=be caring with pet.
o Should include anticipation of consequences and accepting responsibility.
o May require adult support to facilitate students’ effort, provide choice.
